Green Sculpture Competition – Terms & Conditions

  • 1. Objectives
    • To create awareness of the importance of environment protection, especially climate change, and to enhance the use of recycled materials.

    • To find good and impressive sculptural artwork which are made of recyclable materials to display in the sculpture exhibition in celebration of the Plastic Free July & International Plastic Free Day.

    • To create opportunities for students and environment supporters to present their creativity as well as sculptural competences.

  • 2. Participants
  • All Vietnamese citizens (can participate as individual or as a group)

  • 3. Prizes (in cash)
    • 01 First prize: 20,000,000 VNĐ

    • 01 Second prize: 10,000,000 VNĐ

    • 01 Third prize: 5,000,000 VNĐ

    • 1 Online voting prize: 5,000,000 VNĐ

  • 4. How to participate and expected timeline
  • Round 1: The submission of Sculpture concept artwork shall begin from April 22 to May 25, 2022

    The participants (as individual or group) must fill in a registration form by clicking the link provided on Facebook and the website of Keppel Land Vietnam.

    The participants must submit a concept/ creative artwork with the sculpture sketch and material(s) which they plan to use, and size (W x H x D) to express their inspirations or reasons for the sculpture.

    The registration form will close on May 25, 2022

    Round 2: The production of the shortlisted Sculpture artwork shall begin from June 01 to June 29, 2022.

    The shortlisted Sculpture concept artwork shall be announced on June 03, 2022 to the participants to produce the physical sculpture for exhibition.

    Participants who are in the shortlist will have to create the sculptures and submit these sculptures (which are made of recycled materials) to the Organizer. The judges will score these sculptures, which will be showcased in an exhibition at Estella Place shopping mall (Dist 2). The deadline for submission of the completed sculptures is June 06, 2022.

    Round 3: Sculptures shall be displayed at the Green Sculpture Exhibition in Estella Place for scoring from July 01 to July 07, 2022.

    Judges will score the sculptures displayed for the First - Second - Third prize placement. Online voting via Facebook shall be done for online voting prize.

    Winners shall be announced by July 12, 2022 and the candidates shall be notified on the award presentation by the Organiser.

  • 5. Evaluation criteria
    • The sculpture theme/concept must be related to environmental protection and climate change

    • The submitted sculptures must be made of recycled materials and candidates have to provide clear evidence to prove their collection process of recycled materials while creating sculptures. The evidence should be pictures and videos and must be sent to organizers.

    • Participants are encouraged to include lightings for their Sculpture for stronger visual effects.

    • The minimum size of the submitted sculptures is 0.8mH x 0.8mL x0.8mW and the maximum allowable height is 1.2 metres. Sculptures are required to be able to erect without support on a pedestal stand.

    • The submitted sculptures must be aligned with Vietnamese customs and are not objectionable (do not violate Vietnamese culture and laws).

    • The submitted sculptures must not be plagiarized or do not infringe copyrights.

    • Required languages for proposal: Vietnamese & English.

  • 6. Other regulations
    • Contest timeline and regulations can be changed in response to Covid-19 outbreak situation.

    • The result of round 1 and the First – Second – Third Prizes as well as online voting prizes will be announced officially based on the schedule of Keppel Land Vietnam. The Organiser will contact selected candidates via emails and phones provided by candidates in the registration form.

    • Images, names and information, interviews (if any) of the candidates taken during the contest will be used by the Organiser at its sole discretion for advertising, promotion and marketing purposes or for other purposes without any conditions other than those of other activities not permitted by law.

    • The Organisers have the right to use the photos and interviews (if any) of the sculptures and winners taken during the exhibitions and awards to show on the mass media without notice to the author or pay any fees. The Organisers are not responsible for copyright disputes on the sculptures submitted before and after the award.

    • The Organiser is entitled to change any content of the contest, or adjust the rules at any time before the end of the contest by sending a notice email to participants.

    • The decision of the Organiser is the final decision. The Organiser reserves the right to decide on changes related to winning candidates.

    • The Organisers are not responsible for false information provided by the winners.
